Important Information

Final exams for weekend courses are administered during the regular class period on the last scheduled day of the course. Classes that fall outside of the established Final Exam Schedule will meet at their regularly scheduled times.

During final exam week, regularly scheduled classes do not meet, with the exception of Monday-only classes, which will hold their final exam at the usual class time. In the week preceding finals, classes will meet as scheduled; however, no exam or assessment worth more than 10% of the student’s final grade may be administered during this time, with the exception of laboratory courses.

If a student is scheduled to take three (3) or more exams on the same day, instructors are required to provide the student with an opportunity to complete one of those exams during a designated make-up period.

Final exams for online courses are determined by the course instructor. Students enrolled in online courses should contact their professor directly with any questions regarding final exam requirements or scheduling. Please note that times for online course examinations are in the Mountain Standard time zone.

All students are strongly encouraged to review their course syllabus for detailed information regarding final exams, as specific courses may include unique requirements or expectations.

Dead Week

Dead Week is the week before final exams when classes typically wrap up new material and focus on review. It is designed to give students time to prepare for finals, complete remaining assignments, and get ready for the end of the term.
